Srinagar, the summer capital of
Kashmir is not just another hill station in India but is heaven. The temptation
of this fabled hill station had allured me to book Srinagar Tour Packages for a visit. The images of breathtaking
landscapes, pleasant weather had me pack my bags and embark on a hilly vacation
last summers. In Srinagar I had experienced the beauty of paradise with azure
waters that are crystal clear mirrors, pure white snow capped peaks of
Himalayas and activities that have created memories to cherish forever.
I started with a visit to Dal
Lake. A true delight you have to visit to believe it. Though there is lots of
scope for making the place better Dal Lake is still one of the most visited
places which complete your Srinagar holiday. The picturesque setting draws all
kinds of people; from the honeymooners to the family vacationers. Other than
boating, a few new-age sports are cropping up. Try to visit during sunrise or
sunset to experience true beauty. You should definitely try the shikara ride
and a houseboat stay.
Next I paid a visit to the
Shalimar Bagh. The fabled Mughal garden is a beauty of architecture. You need
to photograph the pleasant blossoms. Nishat Bagh and Chashme Shahi are also
worth a visit.
The tourist attractions are also
worth visiting. Start with the Hazratbal Shrine then Shankacharya Temple. Pari
Mahal & Hari Parbat is also worth checking out.
A tour of the markets is also
needed. The drink of a Kahwa and the feel of a Pashmina Shawl make your trip
complete.
When you are in Srinagar you
should definitely explore the neighboring towns of Sonmarg, Gulmarg and
Pahalgam. These tourists’ delights are known for adventures such as zorbing,
horse riding and paragliding. There are resorts to ski, golf or relax. You
should go for the exhilarating Gondola ride.
